Deanna O'Daniel
Deanna O'Daniel is the mother of Leah, age 28, and Jason, age 37. Her daughter,
Leah, has given Deanna a beautiful grandson, Gavin, age 6. Besides having the priviledge of being a mother, Deanna
spent the bulk of her adult career as a classroom teacher. She has taught every grade from 1st to 12th, but most of
her time was dedicated to the 7th grade.
Deanna has a business called "Self Seek Spiritual Center" and is a certified Hypnotherapist, Yoga Teacher,
Meditation Teacher and Reiki Master. She started her company two years before she retired in 1997. She currently
teaches at the University of Louisville and Adult Learning at JCPS and Bellermine. She has taught Yoga at the Yoga East
Studio, YMCA, Suburban, Norton and Audubon Hospitals. She now teaches in her home studio. She practiced Hypnotherapy for six
years at the Carlin Institute before moving her practice to the Highlands and to Eversmooth Spa in Prospect, Kentucky.
Deanna teaches workshops on such concepts as "The Chakra System," "How to Stay in the Present Moment," and "Effectice Use
of Your Energy Field." She loves what she does and finds that she learns something new with each client. Deanna
says she has reaped many rewards in this health field and this year was given the added blessing of being elected as the president
of the Kentucky Association of Hypnotists.
Deanna loves to write memoirs and poetry. She began her writing in the 5th grade as a passtime (as
her family had no TV). Life got in the way of her craft until her mother died in 2001. Now it's her passion!
She belongs to the Cherokee Roundtable and is a current member of Women Who Write. She is thrilled to be published
in the organizations anthology "Calliope" this year, and finds WWW to be very supportive of new writers.
